Wedding Consultations

 

Bespoke cake creation requires many elements. None less than you yourselves. The more we know about you & what you like, the better ideas we can build together. It's what a truly bespoke service should be about & what will make your cake a one-off, personalised design.  

 

A consultation and cake tasting can be arranged by appointment, and in most cases,

we are happy to come to your home.  

 

In preparation, we ask you please to have your venue and date confirmed and ideally have some ideas on your theme/colours and number of guests. You may also like to bring items or pictures of anything that has inspired your wedding. Details from your dress for instance, colour swatches, flowers or maybe you have seen a cake you would like to consider. Ideas of all these elements will help greatly towards designing a cake perfectly suited to you and your day.

 

Ideally, appointments should be booked 4 – 6 months before your wedding.

                                                   Tasting 

 

Working with you, we will provide samples in flavours you are considering for your wedding cake, up to 4 flavours.  We understand the constraints of busy lives, and if you would like us to send your tasting cake samples by 24hr postal courier we can do so, at extra cost.   There is a nominal charge of £20 (£30 for fruit cakes) for the Consultation but should you order your wedding cake from us, this charge will be deducted from the price of the cake. 

 

                                                          Sheet Cakes

 

If you expecting more guests than your chosen cake would cater for, a sheet cake can be provided to increase portions. These are simple, single tier cakes, with the same flavours as you main cake. They are square/rectangle for ease of portioning, kept & cut behind the scenes. This is also a nice cost effective way of keeping within a specific budget.
